Health and Wellness Informative Speech

LIBRARY TIME
We will have one hour in the library the first week to begin researching for the next speeches. You must have a visual for all speeches...you need to use PowerPoint or Prezi for this speech (www.prezi.com).

HEALTH and WELLNESS SPEECH DUE FRIDAY 1-5-17

TOPICS MUST BE CHOSEN BY TUESDAY 1-2-17 at the end of the library time.

HEALTH and WELLNESS SPEECH

The speech is a 3-5 minute speech about a health and wellness topic.

THE GOAL: learn to discern between SCHOLARLY research and simple searches that are not adequate for academic work. Yes, ProQuest must be one of your sources (write down passwords while in the library). You are looking for CREDIBLE sources, ask me if you have questions about credibility.

THE END RESULT: You will find three articles about the same topic related to HEALTH and NUTRITION. You will active read the articles to find out what information the articles have in common. You will prepare a 3-5 minute speech to share your knowledge with your peers.

WRITTEN PORTION: You need 300-500 words in MLA format (In-Text citations and a Works Cited Page) with a beginning (includes a THESIS), middle, and an end. Upload the document to CANVAS before you give your speech (7 AM Speech day is the deadline)
