You are looking to INFORM your audience about the undergraduate admission requirements (ie what should you do in high school to make yourself a good candidate for admissions).
You are looking to INFORM your classmates about the school and ALL it has to offer from Academic Programs, Athletics, Greek Life, Volunteering, Job Placement, etc.
You are looking to INFORM your peers about where the school is located, the size of the school, the cost to attend (tuition + room and board), and any other facts about this school.
Explain to your peers WHY this is a GREAT school and you, at this moment, are interested in it!
The rubric for the assignment will be handed out in the library and is posted to SOTW.

BONUS SPEECH
Interview an Employee of Saints, it cannot be a teacher/coach that you have had teach/coach you.
Videotape the interview.
Ask the employee questions to get to know THEM. Perhaps ask them about their hobbies, family, favorite foods, what they do on campus, what they do when they are not at work, etc. Make sure the questions are POLITE, PERSONAL (but not invading privacy), and OPEN-ENDED so that the responses must be sentences, not one word answers! Make sure the questions show that you have a genuine interest in getting to know another member of the Saints Community!
You must email the presentation to me or bring it on a FLASH DRIVE by 1-24-14. We will share the BONUS interviews in class, if any were done, the last week of class.

In class we will complete the poetry reading and have 1 hour in the library to research and work on out presentation for the OLYMPICS speech (due Monday 1-13-14).

Some students will research the SITE of the 2014 Winter Games as well as future olympic sites
Other members of class will research the various olympic sports and explain to the class the rules of the sport, gear associated with the sport, and how one achieves a GOLD medal.
